This weekend, Paul McCartney released the music video for the "Apreciatte" album "New" (2013). Instead of playing Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Kate Moss, Jude Law, Tom Ford, Sean Penn and Natalie Portman, as in the clips of Queenie Eye and My ValentineThis time, the former baby had the company of Newman the Robot in the year 3116!
According to the musician's press office, the robot was developed by the team that created the puppets and puppets of the piece "Cavalo de guerra", which in 2011 would be filmed by Steven Spielberg. The clip is presented by Microsoft.
“ I woke up one morning with the image of a robot next to me. I thought this could be used on the album cover, but instead, the idea was taken for the clip. along with the staff who worked with Spielberg, we developed the robot that became Newman", McCartney accounts.
The video
The video is on August 30, 3116. Newman patrols the Museum of Man, where scenes from the everyday life of humanity – the coffee shop with customers and a barista, a family dinner etc. – are preserved behind force fields.
In one of these "tells", is Paul McCartney, holding his iconic bass Höfner and surrounded by other musical instruments. Something in the picture catches Newman's attention until Paul comes to life and the music begins...
Published Friday, 16, the video already has 190,587 views on YouTube.
