Felipe Schmidt Street, the main route of the trade in Florianópolis, will have open internet to the population from the second fortnight of October. The initiative is from the House of Directors of the Business Companies (CDL) of Capital and the telecommunications company Globalwave Telecom. The information is from the communication advice of the CDL.
There will be three antennas that will give free connection to those who circulate through the Center, from Square XV to the corner of Rua Padre Roma.
The focus is on social use of the web, for basic operations such as accessing emails, viewing websites and locating. So more people can connect and benefit from technology. Global Wave was the company that implemented the Digital City project in São José.
CDL and Globalwave Telecom were pioneers in 2006 in an experimental project in the same region.
