On October 10th and 11th the I Open Data Workshop takes place at the Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, followed by Transparency Hackday, a hand-in-mass event, for people to build and carry out projects based on open data and technologies together.
On Wednesday (10), four workshops will discuss the concept and political aspects of open data, including technical aspects such as publication formats and visualization tools. In addition, the event will deal with how to use the potential of data to make websites, applications and news articles.
Soon after the end of the workshop cycle, the Hackday Transparency will be started, which will follow on Thursday (11). The idea is to think and build together projects of websites and applications that combine open data, free technologies and political participation in the network.
Meanwhile, there are still lighting talks about public transparency, open government, open date and political participation in the network.
The Workshop is being held by the Laboratory of Digital Culture in partnership with the General Control of the Union and in agreement with UNESCO. The event is free and anyone can participate, regardless of the training.
