NationalVOX buys Infosporte and integrates it to the portal DeOlhoInIlha

In the month in which it completes five years of activities, the ♪ From EyeWall ♪, hyperlocal portal of Florianópolis launched on December 18, 2008, has just gained a weight reinforcement for the editorial area: from January 1, the Infoport, specializing in the daily coverage of Avaí and Figueirense, becomes part of the portal.

The purchase of Infoesporte, idealized by journalist Daniel Calmon during 2008 and on air since March 2009, by National VOX – Digital Agency, DeOlhoNaIlha owner, was settled a week ago and is being made official on Friday, 20, for advertisers and partners of both sites. Questioned by HappeningHere about the value of the acquisition, the company's board declined the answer.

The two vehicles will continue to exist with their own addresses, but acting in an integrated way: DeOlhoNaIlha offering the production of factual news, cultural agenda and film programming of Florianópolis and Infoesporte, the systematic coverage of the issues related to Avaí and Figueirense.

According to Eduardo Gentil, founder of DeOlhoNaIlha and director of marketing and planning of National VOX, the journalistic accompaniment of the two teams of the capital of Santa Catarina was one of the gaps in the coverage of DeOlhoNaIlha and will enrich the content of the portal. “Having exclusive content from Avaí and Figueirense, often refined on site, in Ressada and Scarpelli, is undoubtedly a differential. We are confident that both our public and the audience of Infoesporte will approve the initiative ", says.

For Daniel Calmon, Infoesporte couldn't be in better hands. “I know all the work of DeOlhoInIlha and NationalVOX. This was one of the main reasons for the negotiation. He wanted to leave the scene with the certainty that everything we built followed guided by excellent professionals ", says.

“The Infoesporte project, which has already had an extension on radio and TV in partnership with the RIC Group, tends to improve even more. The site is already a success in audience and in its business model, and deserved a more robust structure behind it to continue growing”, said Daniel, who is also president of the Digital Group of Santa Catarina and is now ahead of a technology startup that will officially be launched in early 2014.

Gentle highlights that, with the two portals, National VOX will implement the concept of hyperlocal digital platform, with audience and marketing sharing. “In addition to an exchange of efforts between the two, this union makes the platform more attractive both for the brands that already advertise in both portals and for companies that wish to have as target the audience of Florianópolis, which is one of the most connected capitals in Brazil”, it concludes.

Respond to the Infosporte public by Daniel Calmon
“I would like to take advantage of this excellent space that Happening Here provides us to thank each of our readers who helped us build one of the main references in the country when the subject is Avaí and Figueirense. I thank all the partners, advertisers and agencies who have been with us this whole time. And of course, to the employees and partners who touched the project during these nearly five years of existence. It was an unspeakable pleasure to be in front of Infoesporte. I wish friends of National VOX a great deal of success and long life to the new Infoesporte”.
