Florianópolis is now officially the most recycling kitchen oil city in the world, according to the Guinness Book. Last night (28), the ReOil program of the Florianopolis Commercial and Industrial Association (ACIF) presents the certificate issued by the record book at event in Lagoa da Conceição for schools, companies and institutions that contributed to the Floripa campaign in Guinness – all will be honored for participation.
During September 2012, the campaign promoted by Reoleo collected 18,670 liters of the residue in 30 days, exceeding the target of 10,000 liters established by Guinness. A National VOX, who was one of the campaign sponsors, celebrates this achievement, an example of environmental protection.
The brand will be registered in the next edition of the record book, which will be released in November this year. According to the campaign coordinator and director of Reóleo, Luiz Falcão de Moura, the campaign served to leverage the program. “We are already setting a new goal by April, which is to reach 2 million liters, collected and recycled since the creation of the program”, he says.
