In recent weeks, two cases have exposed as relevant content (not necessarily quality) and original form can make success and fame of simple ideas on social networks, specifically on Facebook: the 13-year-old Isadora Faber's daily fan page, a public school student from Florianópolis, and Gina Indelica, created by a 19-year-old student.
Content
In the first case, Isadora created the page to show, with photos and videos, how infrastructure problems and the lack of teachers in the school where he studies influence the day-to-day and quality of the services offered by the institution.
The exposed, bare wires, of fans; the lack of doors and the impossibility of use in bathrooms; the absence of a math teacher or the inability of another teacher to control the class; broken locks...
The images produced and posted by Isadora are amateur, precarious, recorded with a mobile phone, but for the purpose of the page, highly relevant: they reveal the everyday situation that the girl and her classmates experience.
The success of the page and the initiative has grown as the number of posts has increased – and comments and shares. Created on July 11, “Class Diary” closed the month with 90 likes. Today, the number of likes is now 181 thousand.
Form
Gina Indelicate came to the world – superpopulated – from Facebook (almost 1 billion people!) on the 14th of this month. This is a page where Gina, icon of the toothpick brand Gina, answers questions from social network users. In short, each post is a photo that brings a joke in the form of text, and nothing else (there is no caption).
Many users share photos – yours and others – on Facebook every minute, and there are not many – perhaps very few – those that reach thousands of people. Gina Indelicate's success is the way: all photos are like a print screen from a Facebook chat window.
There is humor, of course, and today even the creator of the page, Ricck Lopes, is accused of “stealing” the jokes of others, collected on the internet, to do his work. Anyway, the success was tremendous: already in the first post, there were thousands of likes and shares. On this day 30/8, the page you almost 2 million likes. And the company that makes the sticks, the brand owner and that at first got angry with the humorous initiative, now wants to hire the young man...
Imagine now being able to combine relevant and quality content with original form?
