National Week of Science and Technology will have lecture cycle in Florianópolis

The i3 – International Institute of Innovation, with the support of the Catarinense Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) and the Trade Union of the Big Florianopolis Computer Companies (Sinoflo), promotes the cycle of lectures on current ICT issues. The activity, which will be held on October 18th and 19th, is part of the program of the II Municipal Week of Science and Technology of Florianópolis, under the organization of the City Hall of the Capital.

The lectures, which are free and with limited vacancies, have as target audience entrepreneurs, professionals in the sector and students and will be taught in the auditorium of ACATE. The week’s schedule – from 15 to 21 this month – includes other activities, which are being coordinated by the City Council’s Secretariat of Science, Technology and Sustainable Development.

Current Themes

The opening of the cycle will be held on the 18th, from 8:30 am, with talk on professional ICT qualification opportunities, which will present even the main results of the TEC Generation Program and the perspectives for 2013. The general director of i3, Norberto Dias and the operational coordinator of the TEC Generation Program, Jeritza Souza participate in this lecture.

At 9am the lecture begins that will address issues related to the Android market and the development of apps and games for Google mobile platform. The speaker will be Mathias Henrique Weber, partner of MobilEasy Technologies, with experience in the areas of Mobile Development, Interactive Digital Television and Web Systems.

The challenges and trends in sales of IT products and services will be presented by Luiz Fernando Marca, who has 15 years of experience as a manager and consultant with a focus on diagnosis and marketing planning, from 10:30 a.m. Brand will address issues related to the sales process, the profile of the hybrid project manager, the skills of the new ICT professional and the new forms of communication.

On the 19th, from 9am, senior executive of operations Douglas Alvares, with 20 years of experience in the field, gives lecture on the implementation of project office, presenting the current scenario, best practices, strategic governance and important cases. From 10:30 a.m., the talk on SISCOSERV (Integrated System of Foreign Trade in Services, Intangibles and Other Operations) and its impact on the computer and technology industry, with the lawyer, accountant and tax consultant accredited by i3, Dr. Márcio Alexandre Freitas.

National interest

The National Week of Science and Technology is being promoted by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, through the Department of Popularization and Dissemination of C&T of the Secretariat of C&T for Social Inclusion, from October 15 to 21. The theme of the week “Green Economy, Sustainability and Poverty Elimination” was chosen because these are the main subjects of the Rio + 20 Conference. During these days, activities of diffusion and social appropriation of scientific and technological knowledge related to this theme will be promoted and stimulated.
