Three Brazilian agencies are among the winners of the 18th Webby Awards

The Webby Awards announced on Monday, 28, the winners of the 18th edition of the Webby Awards – considered the Internet's "Oscar – on May 19, in New York. This year the winners will be recognized alongside honored with special achievements – Lawrence Lessig, Kickstarter, De La Soul, Freddie Wong, ‘and’ The Jamaican Bobsled Team.

The jury of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) was composed of people such as David Karp, founder of Tumblr, Arianna Huffington, producer of the "House of Cards", Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti, of Trigger Street Productions. They selected the winners in various categories. 500 thousand fans from over 200 countries and territories around the world voted to choose this year's winners of The Webby People’s Voice Awards, with Vice Media (7) Google (5) and Tumblr (4) leading the victories.

Presented by acclaimed actor and comedian Patton Oswalt, this year's ceremony will be on Cipriani Wall Street and will be available "on demand" at the webbyawards. with, from 10h (Time of Brasilia) on Tuesday, 20 May 2014.

Three Brazilian agencies received the award:

DDM9South, with the campaign The Sound Type Face in the category Media & Entertainment;

Ogilvy Brazilwith Real Beauty Sketches in the Integrated Campaigns (Webby Winner), Branded Content (People’s Voice Winner) and Viral Marketing (People’s Voice Winner);

Cubocc, with Color+City in the City & Urban Innovation category.

Beyoncé won the People’s Voice Award in the Celebrity Fan category for: Beyonce. with

Pharrell Williams won the Webby and People’s Voice Award in the Best Use of Interactive Video category with the “24 Hours of Happy.”

Funny or Die won three awards, including the Webby and People’s Voice Award for “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis ‘and’ Justin Bieber” in the Best Comedy category: Long Form or Series category.

Arcade Fire won the Webby and People’s Voice Award for “Just a Reflektor” in the NetArt Websites category and the Webby in the Best Music category (Film ‘and’ Video)

Bob Dylan won the Webby Award in the Best Video Editing category – for “Like a Rolling Stone Interactive Music Video.”

Jimmy Kimmel won the Webby Award in the Best Viral Video category with “World Twerk Fail Ever: Girl Catches Fire Prank.”

The Onion reached a record when it received the 21st and 22nd Webby Awards in the Best Humor category.

Conan O’Brien won three awards, including the Webby by Team Coco Sync App in the Handheld Devices Entertainment category.

Mario Batali won the Webby in the Best Celebrity Website category.
