Turbine your e-commerce: 8 infallible strategies to turn clicks into sales

In the middle of 2024 there is no denying that having an e-commerce site (online sale) is a much less risky proposal than traditional trade. Without a physical space to occupy where rents are usually required not always accessible, you save on business costs and can do everything remotely.

With a fully digital display, you can reduce the number of employees you need, if you need any. Depending on your sales model or product, you may not even need to buy, store or manage the stock in advance.

Platforms and Marketplaces like Shoppe, Amazon, Shein, Free Market and others make it very easy for those who want to sell something online and have no way of investing in their own websites.

* However, depending on the company, the recommended is to have a professional, modern and responsive website, using secure platforms that deliver results.

Continuous growth of e-commerce

The e-commerce was growing before, but in recent years, the pandemic has given that little push. People got used to buying online, and many have discovered the practicality of receiving products at home. In 2024, this trend remains strong. The projections indicate a continuous increase in online shopping, so you won't be in the hands of it!

Changes in Consumption Habits

People are more connected than ever, and this reflects on consumption habits. Shopping on the internet became part of everyday life. The practicality, variety of options and ease of price comparison remain key factors that encourage online shopping.

Technology is more advanced than ever. E-commerce platforms offer increasingly sophisticated features, such as increased reality for more immersive shopping experiences, artificial intelligence for customizing recommendations and chatbots for more efficient customer service.

Not to mention the Internet is breaking down geographic barriers. You're no longer limited to your local market. You can sell to customers anywhere in the world. This significantly broadens the reach and business opportunities.

Consumers are using several channels for their purchases. They can view a product on Instagram, search for details on Google, and finally make the purchase on the official website. Being present in multiple online channels is an intelligent strategy in 2024, as it meets the needs of an increasingly connected consumer.

Turning clicks into sales into practice!

But there is still much planning to be done, many important decisions to be made. Especially when you talk about sales strategies and the growth of your online store, who doesn't want to turn visitors into leads and get many conversions?

That's what I've been thinking about. I've prepared some pretty accurate tips that can help you boost your internet sales and that are right shot to turn these clicks into sales.

1. Get to know your target audience in depth

First of all, know who the people are on the other side of the screen, in case your potential customers! If you sell fashion, for example, and your audience is young, connected with trends, your marketing strategies and language have to match that. Everything created and published needs to be focused on the tastes, behaviors and experiences of this segment of the population.

Understanding what your audience wants is the first step to offer them what they need. Let's imagine you sell food supplements. Your audience is fitness, you're looking for a healthy life. So your campaigns can show the transformation your products provide, with before and after people who have used your supplements. So you create a real connection to the audience, showing that your product is part of their journey.

The ideal is to work with the target audience doing research and studying competition, creating people representing the segment to be hit. Here it is worth remembering again that shooting everywhere and wanting to attract any type of buyer can impact on the costs and results of the business.

2. Photos and videos that tell stories and success results

Imagine you're browsing a website and you're faced with photos of dull, lifeless products. It's a little chilly, right? Therefore, capriche in the images also in the company presentation videos and products. If you sell decoration items, for example, put the images of your products in beautiful environments, showing how they can transform a space.

But if your thing is to sell electronics, present the products in action. An example: a photo or video of someone using their awesome smartphone while doing something sensational. It's all about creating a visual narrative that urges the customer to imagine what it would be like to have that product being part of his life.

Offer in your images, messages that pass the feeling of problem solving and results achievements. Try to tell your success story and your customers' story, to reach the social proof trigger, which helps a lot to convince sales.

3. Descriptions that Convince

Here it is worth remembering something important: the description of your product should not be just a bunch of words thrown in the pages, without attraction. It has to be a persuasive, captivating story. Not enough to talk about the technical characteristics, but how the product will improve the customer's life.

For example, if you are an online handling pharmacy and sell natural supplements instead of saying that you are efficient, look for arguments to convince the interested: “Each supplement in our catalog is formulated with high quality natural ingredients, from reliable sources. From energizing superfoods to revitalizing botanical extracts, each product is an expression of harmony between science and nature.”

4. Irresistible offers

If you work with e-commerce, it's no use wanting to sell products only for the full price, without making promotions or special offers, after all who doesn't like a good offer, right? That's one of the best ways to win and retain customers. It could be a discount, free shipping, surprise toast. If you sell clothes, for example, try making a promotion “Take 3, Pay 2” that favors the spin of the stock and attracts buyers.

The important thing is to create the so-called sense of urgency. “Only today”, “Offer valid until stock lasts”, these magic phrases can make a difference between a customer thinking “ah, then I see” or making him click on the purchase button.

5. Ease the customer's life

You know what pisses off a lot of people who prefer to buy products on the Internet? A complicated purchasing process. So, let's just uncomplicate it! If your website is a mess and the client can't find what he wants, you can say goodbye to the sale. Keep everything organized, easy to navigate, and checkout should be simple and fast as a blink of an eye. No more complicated.

An example: if you sell electronics, organize the products into clear categories such as smartphones, notebooks, accessories. That makes it easier for the client to find what he wants. And the easier it is, the more chances you can convert the click to sale.

6. Reviews that Conquer

Don't forget to include social proof! Here's the thing, if your products are good, your customers will be happy to tell the world. So ask them to leave reviews and comments. A positive review is like a seal of approval that reassures future buyers.

For example, if you sell kitchenware, show on your page the reviews (evaluations) of customers that count how that pot game revolutionized the way they view the kitchen. And if you have pictures of the products in use, even better! This helps build trust and show that your products are real and fulfill what they promise.

Marketplaces like Amazon and Shopee do this in an extraordinary way and can be good references to apply this tactic.

7. Send (very) well on Social Networks:

If your business isn't on social media yet, you're missing huge opportunities. Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Tik Tok, X... all these platforms can be your best friends when it comes to selling.

Let's assume you sell travel items. Use Instagram to show your products in action, with photos of customers using your bags in amazing destinations. Create surveys to find out which products your followers most desire. The important thing is to create a community around your brand, making your customers feel like they're part of something bigger.

8. Customer service is a key word

Last but definitely not least, customer service is your superpower to sell online. Answer quickly, solve the problems efficiently and always be polite and cordial. Satisfied customer returns, indicates to friends and can still become a fan of your brand.

Imagine you sell brand clothes and someone has a problem with a product. Answer quickly, offer solutions, and if necessary, replace or return. This care makes all the difference in the customer experience, and a happy customer is the best marketing you can have.

With these tips, it's time to roll up your sleeves and apply everything to your e-commerce. Turn clicks into sales and work to make high! Success is guaranteed if you follow these strategies with dedication.

Good sales!
