National VOX restructuring Sites of the Barriga Verde Group employing new features on the Portal.
It was time to have a site with basic functions was guaranteed success on the web. The Internet has changed, and a lot. The number of users has increased. Interest is no longer the same. To create a Website or Portal where navigation is easy and fast with attractive content is a hard work to be done. Everything requires more time, study and dedication. New techniques are always welcome even if they need to be adequate and well implemented so that there are no problems, especially technicians.
National VOX was chosen to be responsible for the planning and technology of the websites and portal of the Barriga Verde Group that in partnership with Kaapora (communication agency) worked together. Thus, all strategic web planning was developed in partnership National VOX and Kaapora, a work that involved activities such as: survey of requirements, information architecture, creation of layout and visual portal, systems, technology development, content manager and training.
The challenge this time was to create a Horizontal Portal aimed at a more comprehensive audience involving the whole Group as well as its collaborators and related sites (TVBV, Band FM Floripa / Lages / Tubarão, BVP and the institutional CBV). In short, the main purpose of the work is to create a means of communication to reduce distances and increase access to information.
THE CLIENT
The Central Barriga Verde de Comunicação has a communication network that embraces the whole State of Santa Catarina respecting its peculiarities, valuing its potential, portraying the way of being and the pleasure of being a Santa Catarina. The CBV Group is formed by a TV station, TVBV, by 3 radio stations, affiliates Band FM; a content producer, the BVP; and the Social Action Institute I am of Good. Thus, all Santa Catarina receives information about sports, politics, varieties, economics and currents of each region.
THE TVBV PORTAL
The Portal is an example of how you can combine a beautiful and modern layout without leaving aside the necessary accessibility adjustments to achieve a positive result by visitors and gain market credibility. The Portal went through a series of reformulations seeking a new positioning since it previously occupied a more institutional model. The new work has a more convincing and challenging feature where I gathered information from the entire Group, institutional information and regional content for the State of Santa Catarina all very well distributed with a simple and fast navigation.
Today, the highlights sections are on the account of Channels that present demands and projects aimed at the most varied types of areas such as: sports, culture, varieties, traffic among others, in short, everything that arouses the interest of an internet user and that is hot information.
The Portal also has a new Mediacentro, exclusive to use the Portal, where it is possible to produce Videocasts, post programs already presented or broadcast a live story, a WebTV, where visitors can find all videos broadcast by TV, a kind of YouTube but with material already presented by the Emitter are reruns of Newspapers, Programs, Interviews among others, a large collection of videos. The project was developed in partnership with Digilab, a company with expertise in solutions for integration in communication, telecommunication management and media.
For this purpose the new platform and technology used was developed and modeled to contain hundreds of users employees divided into groups and permissions which allow for quick and simple updating of all areas and sections of the Portal and Related Sites from a single area without there being editing conflicts between them (inclusion, alteration, exclusion). The interaction tools that work bilaterally, two-way communication work well and all content posted by visitors is moderated to avoid online trash that may underestimate their performance and visibility.
The system allows complete user and visitor management, its administrative panel enables instant actions and an overview of everything that is happening online as well as accesses, content modifications, logs and statistics. The administrator monitors and controls everything that happens, can ban, delete or moderate any kind of activity involved, whether it's any content or a user who's browsing.
The solution also uses cutting-edge technology for the production of large systems involving any type of web application. The system allows the rapid and safe deployment of any amount of modules with any complexity in a matter of hours or even minutes. Integrated into the system there is a complete system of statistics (more advanced than generic solutions such as urchin or webanalytics); monitoring (log) of all actions, events, errors and even suspicious code or user behavior; valid standardization W3C XML 1.0 and W3C CSS, redundant security for administrators tested and approved for more than 5 years by several professionals and customers. The system also has an installation/debug version that allows for agility in production combined with the rapid detection and elimination of imperfections in the code. Another novelty concerns the integration of the site with social networks, with the possibility of the user replicating content in environments such as Facebook and Twitter.
In the case of optimization, the site had applied SEO techniques at the basic level. The techniques employed took more into account the organization of the site structure and friendly URLs. The focus was to work on layout and interactivity, thinking especially about the navigability and usability of the portal.
