1. Update the company's biography of TikTok

Try to avoid mixing personal profiles with professionals. This can hinder your strategies and especially the reach of the content. Therefore, I insist that you work your brand to obtain awareness (public brand awareness regarding your company, your products or services).

Biographics is a way to highlight your business and what you do best. Use a flashy title in your description by linking your company's page to direct potential customers who can learn more about your brand.

So, have a website or landing page that talks about you and also offers the visitor the possibility to know your products and services. Don't forget the first impression is the one that gets. Have a good digital product.

2. Work the algorithm

One of the advantages TikTok has over other social media platforms is its For You page, an endless stream of curated videos from its unique algorithm to the interests of each user. And here it is worth highlighting the great difference of this network in relation to competition. Instagram, for example, ended up imitating the neighboring network, offering the same feature.

As the “For you” page is the default homepage of the application and where most users spend time, it is much easier to become viral. As the algorithm does not consider the success of the previous content or the following count, if you create engaging content that speaks to your target audience, you will have as much chance of becoming viral as the largest users of TikTok.

Important: keep in mind the three main factors that influence and do not influence the TikTok algorithm to better use it:

Factors that influence the algorithm

  • The initial exposure is based on location.
  • Using hashtags, sounds, and trends will help increase discovery capacity. Keep an eye on the mods that users quickly spread. Remember the “Wake up Pedrinho...”? It was a song that viralized on videos on Tik Tok and only then was trending on other networks as well.
  • User interactions play a significant role in determining which videos TikTok shows.

Factors that do not influence the algorithm

  • The total number of followers.
  • Your performance history of TikToks.
  • How long have the videos been published?

3. Post 1 to 2 times a day

Consistency is the key to getting results. Posting daily is essential to faster increase the TikTok page of your small company and gain more followers. Consistent posting gets more views of your videos and increases your chances of creating viral content.

That doesn't mean you need to make two super-cool videos, try to diversify. A good tip is to use the effects of a platform that also belongs to Tik Tok: the Capcut editing tool.

Consider hiring a digital agency that works with planning and actions to expand your business!

4. Show your company backstage through TikTok

Showing your hard work behind the scenes will give users a view of their authenticity, which creates confidence among their followers. People want to see your dedication to customer satisfaction and when you show it, it certainly increases the chance to win new customers.

If you are an e-commerce, try to show the deposit with your product line or some closed business partnership that attracts similar interested audience.

5. Use relevant hashtags and key phrase in the caption

You want to create viral content? Using hashtags is essential to being noticed by your target audience who is looking for its content, but without abusing it, right?

In addition to posting consistently on TikTok, it is important to search trend hashtags within your specific niche and don't forget to add a CTA (Call-To-Action) and link your company's website or product pages to subtitles!

By including a key phrase from your business in TikTok subtitles, you are helping people find your website and become potential customers.

6. Comment regularly and encourage comments on your posts

Like most social networks, TikTok supports user involvement. Comments are an excellent way to achieve this, where you will create conversations with your potential customers.

TikTok ranks comments by the number of likes they receive, so think about your comments, making them meaningful. Avoid making any "good video" comments.

Similarly, save time to watch other people’s videos and make thoughtful comments about them.

7. Post videos with viral sounds from TikTok

TikTok favors videos that use trend sounds and this you find easily when rolling the feed of posts, as the platform benefits deliveries from what is being talked about on the network. Adding a sound of trends as background in your video is the perfect way to create engaging content that can reach more viewers.

A survey found that almost 90% of users believe sound is an essential component for great TikTok videos, so don't post silent videos. Use the sound to express and highlight your brand.

Each sound from TikTok also has its own page to show all videos that include sound. Your video can end up as a viral posting on the sound page, increasing your exposure.

8. Make interesting videos with clear descriptions

TikTok videos can be up to a minute long. You don't have much time to convey your message. And whatever you do, don't just load flagrant ads – even official TikTok ads should add value to your audience.

You naturally want your videos to be visually attractive, without looking like they were made by a professional advertising agency (even if you have worked with an agency to help your creativity).

Although there may be times when you will use your descriptions as teasers, in most cases you need to include a clear description of what your video has to offer the public. If possible, write so that people feel like commenting.

Writing a good description is also essential for SEO purposes. In essence, you want Tiktok to know what your video is about by indexing your clip and, hopefully, suggesting it to your favorite audience. Remember to include your most important keywords in your descriptions, but they should make sense and not just be a random collection of words.

However, do not stretch, because it is important not to pollute the space on the screen. For a recommended practice, prepare quick and short descriptions.

9. Analyze the best time to post and what content engage your audience

Do you want to post when most of your target audience is online and maximize your exposure? At TikTok, certain times of the day have higher levels of engagement. By using TikTok Analytics, you can search the best times to post to your target audience and create a calendar to remember to post your content at the best time.

TikTok Analytics also shows what kind of content you get more likes and engagement on your page. You can use this data to continue to create viral content.

10. After discovering the ideal content, niche and best time to post, restrict your content

You better not confuse your audience with scattered content, so find the niche that's best for you and be consistent with posting. Finding your brand point will keep you focused while creating high-quality content that arrives.
