In this article I selected 10 hacks that were widely used for your personal or business profile to stand out:

#1 Stop following and remove all unnecessary accounts at once:

We all have certain accounts on our Instagram that we used to follow and that we don't even get involved with now.

Fortunately, Instagram now allows you to see who these users are and stop following them in bulk. Also, you can also see people who don't follow and remove them.

This is probably one of the Instagram tricks that users are looking for.

– Go to the I profile, tap Following > Less interaction with... and Instagram will upload a list. Take the opportunity to do that desired cleaning in your account!

#2 Filter comments

This Instagram feature allows you to automatically block offensive, inappropriate and annoying comments. Just go to Settings > Privacy > Comments > Filters > Activate Manual Filter.

Here you can add keywords, phrases, emojis or specific terms you want to block in the comments section. You can also activate “Hide offensive keywords”, which will block the keywords commonly reported in your posts.

#3 Desktop Poster (Computer or Notebook)

This might be one of the most interesting Instagram tricks. Like many others, you may also think that you can't post on Instagram via PC.

But I assure you it's possible. And it doesn't involve installing any software or program. For this, you first need to open Instagram on Google Chrome.

Just click More > Tools Developer's tools. (or just use Ctrl + Shift + I).

A coded version of the entire web page will appear on the right side of the screen. This may seem a little intimidating, but you don't have to mess up the codes.

All you need to do is click on the “Change Device” icon in the top bar.

After clicking on it, you will see that your Instagram site has changed to a format suitable for mobile devices. Update your web page now to see the homepage icon, search, “+”, activity and profile appear at the bottom.

#4 Protect your account with two-factor authentication

Today, security is important to your social media accounts, as well as to your computer. Hackers and online scammers multiply by the pile, so don't let them cause any damage.

Instagram allows you to configure a two-factor authentication, which requires the user to go through a second authentication process when logging into the account.

Isn't that one of the biggest tricks on Instagram to keep your account safe?

To enable it, first you must go to Profile > Settings > Security > Two factor authentication > Start.

After you tap “Start”, you should choose the desired security method, i.e. by text message or an independent authentication application, such as Google Authenticator.

If you don't get a security code SMS, that's where you'll need the recovery codes.

Go to Settings > Security > Two factor authentication > Recovery codes and use the code displayed to login.

#5 Include hashtags in the stories

Like the feed publications, stories are also grouped by hashtags on Instagram. In addition, users can follow their hashtags of interest. So, you can reach more people with this resource, including those who don't follow you.

Remember to choose the hashtags that are most related to your publication.

#6 Use Instagram Shopping to sell your products

We have already talked about this here on the Blog to optimize purchases on the social network. But it's always important to remember. O Instagram Shopping It's a tool for those who have e-commerce. To use, just set up a store on Facebook or list of products linked to your website.

When posting, check your products in your photo so that the follower can click and go directly to the item page on your site. Make sure that the usability of your website provides a good customer experience.

#7 Mark your favorite posts

Think of “Collections” as your digital clipping albums: save your favorite posts easily. Go to a post you'd like to save.

Tap the bookmark icon below the post you want to save

It will be automatically added to a generic collection, but if you want to send it to a specific collection, choose > Save collection; here you can select an existing collection or tap the + icon to create and name a new one.

To see your saved posts and collections, visit your profile and tap the burger menu. Then tap Salvo.

#8 Remove old posts (without deleting them forever)

As the Instagram equivalent to what you can do on Facebook, you can hide old posts out of sight with the function “File”.

Tap ... on the top of the post you want to remove. Select > File

To review all archived posts, go to your profile and tap the burger icon in the upper right corner. Tap > File

At the top of the screen, click > File to view posts or stories.

If you want to restore the content of your public profile, just tap > Show in the profile at any time and it will appear in its original location. That tip is nice for recycling old posts without messing up your feed.

#9 Switch to a business profile

To officially declare yourself as an Instagram company offers some advantages, such as Publishing Ads and Getting insights. If you're a brand, what are you waiting for?

How to do: Go to your profile and tap the burger menu. > Settings > Account > Switch to corporate account.

I recommend you connect your business account toa Facebook page associated with your company. This will make it easier to use all the resources available to companies. At the moment, only one Facebook page can be connected to your business account.

Add details like your company or account category and contact information. Tap Done.

# 10 Put as many pictures as you want in your Stories

This super simple hack allows you to use more than one image in a post in Stories. You can copy and paste an image over the image you chose to use from the background, making a collage even.

You can use it on top of a template too, if you want. Just copy a picture of your camera roll and open the text tool on Stories and paste!

From there, you just use creativity.

Conclusion

Instagram is one of the most fun and visually attractive social networks with many features you might not even know about. Don't stop applying and testing!

To finish, follow an extra tip, especially for those who want to organically grow: produce relevant content. Do research with your target audience and understand what they would like to be getting on their feed.

Know what your audience wants to consume, or what your followers value most in their posts.
