10 productivity tools to make your life easier in 2024

With increasingly digital businesses and in the cloud, productivity is the key word for achieving day-to-day efficiency. The demands are diverse, and much more important than doing things quickly, you have to do the right things. 

But what may seem obvious is not easy. Being productive has everything to do with acting smart.

Trello

One of the best known tools for project management, Trello has simple and intuitive look. By allowing you to adapt your frames to combine with scrum and kanban processes, you allow teams to monitor product or task development. 

Those using Trello usually bet on a few basic columns: one to gather the list of activities to run (backlog), one or more columns to signal the stages of the works in progress, and one last column to store the completed tasks.

Google Drive

Google service that allows cloud file storage with integrated applications: Documents, Sheets, Presentations and Forms. 

Google Drive also has the sync function between devices. Thus, you can create a file on a computer and continue editing on a smartphone or tablet, for example.

To use the tool, you need to have a Google account, which can also be the same one used in Gmail. Google offers up to 5Gb of storage space in the free version. 

Evernote

The tool works as a 100% digital notebook. 

Notes, ideas, scanned documents: everything can go directly to Evernote. The advantage is that notes are always available and can be accessed by desktop or mobile applications. 

A tip from the most advanced users is the creation of templates, annotations templates to be filled out that can help create meeting minutes, for example. 

Evernote is ideal for annotating information, tracking tasks, and managing projects in a very simple and organized way.

According to the creator, Stepan Pachikov, the idea is that the tool should function as an extension of the brain, storing all the information that needs to be consulted in the future.

Slack

Slack is basically a turbot message app.

It is aimed at teams and workplaces, can be used on multiple devices and platforms and is equipped with robust features that allow you not only to talk individually with users, but also through groups (channels).

You can also upload and share files as well as integrate with other applications and services, and can easily control almost all settings, including the ability to create custom emojis.

Meet

With the pandemic, video conferencing applications have never been so high. Despite Zoom's fever, which has become popular with the quality of transmissions, Google also does not disappoint when it comes to Meet, a tool for online meetings. Enjoy premium features like adding more users and recording calls, are available free of charge until March 2021. 

Access is fast and allows some effects such as changing the camera background, also with good audio and video quality. 

If you already have a Gmail account, just access Meet.Google. with and click on the green button “Start a meeting” or insert a meeting ID in the field on the right. As long as you are connected to your Gmail account, you can automatically start or attend a meeting.

Mailtrack

Useful tool to know if the recipient of emails, read your message. It works as a browser plugin and integrates into Gmail. The free version is somewhat limited, but it can handle the basics. 

When you send an email, a new button will appear in the Gmail writing box. This will ensure that the extension to Google Chrome is actually working, and that that message will be tracked normally.

By default, Mailtrack will be enabled, but you can disable it if you want. It is important to highlight that, because it is a resource for the internet browser, it will only be present where you install it. And it works for desktops only, not yet supporting mobile-made shipments.

Toggl

It's a multi-platform time management tool. No matter where you are, whether in front of your personal laptop, work computer or mobile phone, it is simple to track the hours spent with each task performed.

With Toggl, individual or team users can register, control and quantify, in a simple way, the hours spent with individual or grouped tasks within projects. You can even group tasks separated by customers.

Suitable for those who work in various projects, where each project is composed of several tasks, and you want to know how much time has been spent on each task and also on the whole project.

You can also include the working time value in the tool. With this information, the report can already bring calculated when it cost a certain job, based on the price of the time and the time it was spent.

Tolist

A good option to free the mind. The tool organizes all your daily tasks in a kind of checklist. It is possible to create recurring tasks and follow the daily and weekly progress through graphics. 

It is possible to define subtasks, deadlines, types of projects (home, family, travel, work etc), priority, and share with the team. The free version offers up to 80 projects and the collaboration of up to 5 people per project.

Job creation is the essence of the tool and only after adding everything you have to do will it be possible to begin the process of prioritizing demands and planning work days.

After opening the Todoist, click the + button to create a new demand. You can also do that by typing the letter Q. Then you need to choose a name, as well as the deadline, and the task will be ready! 

Repeat instructions until everything is registered.

YouCanBook. me

If you attend a customer's wallet or have many meetings every day, this tool is excellent for sharing your schedule on the internet. 

To access the service you need to use the login of a Google account and allow the integration of the application into your account. If you use Google Agenda it will integrate with both agendas.

Once you allow access you will gain a domain of your own to disclose it on the internet. 

YouCanBook. Uses me as a pattern every day of the week and every one in an hour. To check your appointments you can use your Google account or directly from your agenda. The service also provides a resource to send reminders via email.
