The tablet market in Brazil is expanding steadily

According to IDC Brasil numbers, a leading company in market intelligence, consulting services and conferences with the Information Technology and Telecommunications industries, in 2012 3.1 million tablets were sold in our country. The number is 171% higher than that recorded in 2011. For 2013, the sales expectation is even more encouraging: growth of 89.5% over 2013, or 5.8 million devices.

In a more in-depth analysis of the market, IDC Brazil found that of the total of tablets sold in 2012, 88% were for domestic users and 12% for the corporate market – compared to 2011, the domestic segment grew 159% and corporate 303%. To complete the positive picture, for Fabiano Destri Lobo, general director of the Mobile Marketing Association for Latin America, in 2013 mobile navigation will supplant navigation through desktops.
