It is likely that while you are reading this issue of the Illiterate Image Journal, the subject of the moment in the connected world is the newest update of the iPhone and iPad operating system. Or even though Apple, creator and developer of these products and technologies, has announced that Google Maps will no longer be the official map application on your mobile devices. Why? Because she herself, after acquiring three small but promising companies in the sector in recent years, decided to join them in the same mission and announced the launch of her own map program.
“And what a program!”, some will say; “What a great drug!”, others will say, in the same way that, weeks ago, it was called success or failure, depending on the analyst, the New York Stock Exchange debut of Facebook’s actions. The so-called “public offer of sale” has earned billions of dollars and made Mark Zuckerberg a billionaire, but no one who pointed out a point in the process. Because in the connected world it is like this: everyone is online, they are entitled to opinion and express it from the best – but also from the worst, often – possible way. And there is no censorship that silences the voices of netizens against products, brands and companies, nor “patrol” that quenches their praises, their fidelity or devotion. We must treat with respect and win those who criticize him, as well as give attention 100% and benefits to those who worship him.
The best way to seduce and gain people's trust in the connected world, in this immense digital sea, is to base the presence of your company, your brand, your store, your institutional, on three pillars: design, technology and communication.
What's the point of creating your company's website if it only works well on one type of browser? Or use software that creates beautiful graphics files on your online store homepage if it prevents consumers from accessing it through smartphones, who cannot process the flips, and shop? Why not develop a specific app for mobile phones and tablets, which, thanks to the advances of mobile phone operators, provide unlimited internet access and security in online transactions? Worse: what's the point of creating social media profiles, such as Twitter and Facebook, and doing paid ads campaigns on Google if it's to take the internet user to a site with limiting characteristics, or just to be present, without offering content relevant to the public?
These and other subjects will be analyzed in the next three columns “Connected World” of your Ilha Image Journal, under the responsibility of the professionals of National VOX, a digital agency based in Florianópolis that creates, develops and manages WEB sites and systems from its own framework, developed in the company, with Catarinense technology, and mobile applications for iOS and Android, in addition to planning, executing and monitoring Digital Marketing strategies.
